New dates revealed for Spielwarenmesse 2024

Published on: 2nd March 2023

Feedback from exhibitors and visitors has encouraged the organisers of the Nuremberg international toy fair to rework Spielwarenmesse’s date configuration for next year, with more focus on weekdays.

Spielwarenmesse 2024Spielwarenmesse eG, the organiser of the international Spielwarenmesse trade fair, has announced the dates for the 2024 show – as well as a new format that it says will work better for those in attendance.

In an email sent out to exhibitors, a spokesperson for Spielwarenmesse eG wrote: “I would like to inform you today about the date of Spielwarenmesse 2024 and the associated new sequence of days. Instead of Wednesday to Sunday as before, the fair will in future be held from Tuesday to Saturday, i.e. from January 30th to February 3rd, 2024.

The new sequence of days is based on annual frequency analyses as well as exhibitor and visitor surveys. Sunday has predominantly proven to be unsuitable, according to the majority feedback from our national and international participants. At the same time, the desire for an additional day during the week has clearly emerged. By retaining the trade show Saturday, on the other hand, we are taking into account the needs of the specialist retail trade, which plays an important role, particularly in Germany.

We are pleased that we can meet the majority of exhibitors’ wishes with the new sequence of days.”

Registration for Spielwarenmesse 2024 opens on 15th March.

This year’s show marked a successful comeback for Spielwarenmesse, which had seen an enforced gap of three years due to the pandemic. Readers can find out more about how the event went by reading the summary here.
