Wonder announces partnership with World Book Day

Published on: 5th October 2023

Wonder has been appointed as an official World Book Day licensee for 2024 and will unveil a new collection of Classic Fairytales themed costumes.

Wonder, formerly Amscan International, is delighted to announce an extraordinary partnership with the charity World Book Day for 2024, set to ignite young minds and transform  life chances through reading and role play. The revered UK-based charity, dedicated to promoting reading for pleasure, offers every child the opportunity to have a book of their own, improving the literacy and imagination of countless young individuals each year.

2024 will see Wonder unite with the charity to unveil an exciting new collection of World Book Day-themed costumes that immortalise beloved characters from Classic Fairytales, with a generous percentage of every sale contributing directly to the charity’s work. To take the celebration a step further, schools and enthusiasts can now effortlessly transform any room/space into a book-lover’s paradise with Wonder’s print-on-demand party decorations and balloons.

Wonder proudly holds a multitude of licences within the book category, making it perfectly aligned to wholeheartedly support World Book Day’s profoundly significant cause.

The deal was negotiated by Maya Maraj, Commercial Partnerships manager of World Book Day and Wonder’s group Licensing director, Mel Beer. Mel commented: “We’re thrilled to be partnering with the charity World Book Day to ignite kids’ imaginations through dress up and role play, whilst enhancing their experience of reading nationwide”.

“World Book Day is pleased to welcome Wonder as a licensee. Dressing up to celebrate the joy of reading can help World Book Day to encourage even more children to experience the life-changing benefits of reading for pleasure,” added Cassie Chadderton, chief executive of World Book Day. “We’re  delighted that Wonder is offering official licensed product, from dress up to celebration accessories, with donations from each sale supporting our charity’s work to change lives through a love of books and reading.”
