Published on: 24th October 2023

The feature film, targeted at families, introduces Miss Moxy, a cat who gets lost during a summer holiday, and will premiere in 2024.

Studio 100 Film and Phanta Animation have announced a partnership for the adventure comedy movie Miss Moxy. Production began in February 2023, with delivery scheduled for the end of 2024. Studio 100 Film, a subsidiary of Studio 100 Media, acts as international sales agent and will present the movie at the upcoming American Film Market in Santa Monica.

The 85–minute feature film, targeted at families, introduces Miss Moxy, a domesticated cat who gets lost during a summer holiday in Southern France. She then sets off on an exciting and hilarious odyssey to find her way back home across Europe, getting unusual support from creatures including a stupid dog and an old bird. During this journey, she broadens her perspective on life and discovers the real meaning of friendship.

The movie is based on a true story in which a tabby cat called Boo found its way back home after 13 years. Miss Moxy has been adapted and written for the screen by Maureen Versprille.

“From the moment Miss Moxy came to shape, this lovely character has become a true darling to all of us and we cannot wait to make this film happen in collaboration with our dear colleagues at Studio 100”, commented producer Petra Goedings.
“The true story behind this movie is so incredible, and the production team so talented, that we immediately fell in love with this project.”

“It’s such a great feeling to finally see the start of production,” added Thorsten Wegener, director Business Operations at Studio 100 Media. “We look forward to introducing this fun and entertaining family movie with a unique animal heroine.”

With more than 10 years of experience, Studio 100 Film has successfully marketed and sold animation feature films such as Giants of La Mancha, the Maya the Bee trilogy, Mia and me – The Hero of Centopia and numerous other Studio 100 Media titles. In addition, it also acts as a sales agency for selected third-party films.
