Moonbug to deliver hit IPs on Prime Video

Published on: 18th August 2023

Moonbug IPs such as Oddbods, Blippi and Little Baby Bum will be available on Prime Video for audiences across the UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Turkey and Portugal.

Moonbug Entertainment, a part of Candle Media, has announced that it will bring a variety of Moonbug’s hit IPs, including Oddbods, Blippi, Little Baby Bum and more, to Prime Video, providing access for audiences across the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Turkey and Portugal.

This deal solidifies Moonbug’s commitment to expanding its distribution channels and making its content accessible to families around the world, and highlights the growing demand for high-quality, family-friendly content and the immense potential for enriching experiences through digital platforms. The agreement includes localised versions of CoComelon JJ’s Animal Time, Blippi Wonders and Little Angel in Castilian Spanish, as well as the entirety of the Blippi content and Oddbods libraries for the UK market.

“As our IP portfolio grows and the popularity of our characters crosses frontiers, working with Prime Video allows us to expand the reach of our content to an even wider audience,” said Gina Costelloe, head of Distribution & Originals, EMEA at Moonbug Entertainment. “Our content is a retention driver for kids and family audiences on streaming platforms such as Prime Video, which highlights the relevance of this partnership, especially as we strive to meet families where they are and provide a great viewing experience.”

The deal brings both new and fan-favourite episodes of Moonbug’s portfolio to Prime Video, with the partnership already live in Germany and Turkey. The UK, Ireland and Iberia are set to launch throughout 2023. Programme availability will vary between nations, with notable IPs like Lellobee City Farm, Blippi & Meekah Wonders, Little Baby Bum, Oddbods and the hit series, CoComelon Animal Time.
