A host of top level shopping centres will embrace the brand over the October break as Pip and Posy aim to reach as many people as possible.
Magic Light Pictures’ Pip and Posy are getting out and about this half-term as they take their wonderful world of play and friendship on a tour of major shopping malls around the UK.
From Saturday 21st to Wednesday 25th October, kids can meet their Sky Kids and Channel 5’s Milkshake! favourites, Pip and Posy, as the Rainbow Productions’ characters hold meet and greets in high footfall locations. The tour dates and location are as follows:
- Saturday 21st October – Glasgow’s Braehead Shopping Centre
- Sunday 22nd October – Manor Walks Shopping Centre, Cramlington
- Monday 23rd October – Manchester’s Trafford Centre
- Tuesday 24th October – Meadowhall in Sheffield
- Wednesday 25th October – Bullring & Grand Central in Birmingham
Magic Light Pictures’ brand manager, Hollie Bladen, said: “We are delighted to be taking Pip and Posy on the road. They got a fantastic response appearing at this year’s Leicester Playday and Bristol Harbour Festival , and we’re keen for them to meet as many kids across the UK as possible. We’re delighted that these top level shopping centres are embracing the brand and we hope to extend Pip and Posy’s tour to reach as many people as possible.”
Magic Light Pictures holds the global distribution and merchandising rights to Pip and Posy and has launched a full consumer products programme to complement the property. Products already rolling out include tie-in publishing from Nosy Crow, as well as puzzles from Ravensburger, dress up with Amscan, audio figurines with Tonies, and home accessories.
In September 2023 Magic Light appointed Bandai as master toy licensee in a deal covering UK and Eire with an option to extend across Europe. The Pip and Posy characters have also appeared in Milkshake! Live, headlining Parkdean Resorts’ Milkshake! Mornings at key times during the season and have been touring nationwide throughout 2023.
