Sheffield’s Meadowhall will host the new attraction which builds on the Barbie brand legacy and lets kids experience career options in bespoke interactive zones.
Meadowhall is working with Mattel and award-winning experiential events production company Bakehouse Factory to bring the UK’s number one doll property and global phenomenon, Barbie, to Sheffield for Barbie You Can Be Anything: The Experience, premiering this Autumn.
The new attraction builds on the Barbie brand legacy of representation of girls and women enjoying a huge spectrum of careers, and youngsters and their families will get the chance to try out numerous career options in bespoke-designed, interactive zones. Developed by the creative minds of the Bakehouse team, in partnership with Mattel, the attraction is hosted by performers who will bring a high-energy immersive interpretation to some of the careers Barbie has on her long CV.
Bright, colourful and extremely interactive, this is a hands-on experience that encourages children to get involved. From being a pilot in the Barbie Dreamplane, to designing a Barbie outfit in the fashion design studio, or learning about underwater life as a Marine Biologist, this is a place where kids are told ‘You Can Be Anything’.
Thousands of visitors are expected to experience the attraction during its Meadowhall residency; each one enjoying a unique 90 minutes of entertainment.
