Published on: 26th July 2023

Acamar Films has secured extended distribution for its hit pre-school series Bing as it signs renewal agreements with eight broadcasters and streaming services.

These new partnerships will mean that Bing, a favourite series with young audiences across much of Europe, will continue to be available for millions of viewers.

“Working with our brilliant partners ensures that Bing remains available to young children and their families, wherever and however they want to watch,” said Eroulla Constantine, director of Sales and Distribution. “These continued partnerships confirm the long-standing appeal of Bing and its ever-increasing popularity as it continues to delight young children across the world.”

Bing distribution partnerships have been renewed with:

Italy – Bing will continue its presence on Pay TV through a renewal with DeAJunior on the Sky platform. The partnership will see seasons 1-3 of Bing continue to be available on the Italian service. Bing, initially launched  in March 2019, is positioned among the most successful properties on DeAJunior and during 2023 the series achieved excellent ratings on the channel.

Poland – MiniMini renewed seasons 1-4 (104 episodes) of Bing for Pay TV. This agreement follows Bing’s outstanding performance and recent weekend marathons on the network. The Bing marathons were incredibly successful securing viewership 134% over the channel average on the weekend of the 15th and 16th of April.

CEE – JimJam TV currently airs 15 episodes of Bing every day on Free TV across the CEE. This recent partnership extension renews seasons 1-3 in the region and will bring non-episodic content, such as short compilations of the various characters in Bing to the channel. This inclusion of additional Bing content is a first for any linear channel.

Czechia – Bing’s presence in Czechia continues to grow where affinity for Bing remains high at 85% (Brand Trends: April 2023). Free TV broadcaster, CT Decko, has renewed its agreement for seasons 1-3.

Latvia – Two partners have extended their agreements for Bing for Latvian audiences. SVOD broadcaster LMT has renewed its agreement for seasons 1-2 and the addition of season three for the first time on the platform. Free TV broadcaster, LTV, has renewed its distribution partnership for seasons 1-3. This is the fourth licence term for these terms on LTV.

Sweden – In Sweden, SVT Barn has signed a partnership renewal for seasons 1-4 on Free TV. Bing has an enthusiastic following in Sweden and the Swedish YouTube channel has one of the highest average view durations of the network of all international Bing channels.

Australia – In addition to renewing partnerships across Europe, Acamar Films and ABC Kids (Free TV) have also agreed to continue their agreement to bring Bing to Australian audiences. Bing first launched on the channel in November 2014.
