The February issue of Toy World is online now

Published on: 29th January 2024

As well as the latest news and product information, the February edition of Toy World previews Spring Fair and takes a look at eco-friendly/sustainable toys.

Reflecting the growing demand for greener toys, our eco-friendly/sustainable toy feature showcases the latest offerings in this category, including suppliers who are moving away from plastic packaging to those looking at alternative materials such as wood, recycled plastic and even sugar cane.

We also shine a spotlight on the numerous toy companies who will be at Spring Fair at the NEC, Birmingham (4th-7th February) and chat to event director Soraya Gadelrab to hear about how upgrades to the show’s content will provide visitors with an even better experience.

Eurofins Dr Katie Hodges, global marketing manager Sustainability Services, explains how the forthcoming New Toy Regulation will help improve toys’ sustainability credentials, while Aoife McCarthy from the Ethical Supply Chain Program (previously the Ethical Toy Program), tells Toy World readers what businesses ought to be doing to ensure they remain compliant with global Environmental, Social and Governmental (ESG) standards.

In the February issue, we take a look at how Christmas trading panned out, speaking to independent toy stores in our regular Talking Shop feature.

There are also regular features such as NPD Insight, Letter from America with Rick Derr and Allegedly, plus a selection of the latest news and industry moves from the toy industry.

With the February going to press before London Toy Fair, watch out for our review of the show and all the goings on at Olympia in our March issue.

So, whether you need some reading matter on your travels to Nuremberg or you need to put your Toy Fair weary feet up, have a delve into this great issue to get up to date with all that’s happening in our fantastic industry.
