Casdon has announced the launch of a new Ooni pizza-making range made from recycled plastics.
Known for creating miniature versions of well-known household items, Casdon is set to launch a brand new licence this year, partnering with leaders in the portable pizza making category, Ooni. The new range is made from recycled plastics.
Home pizza-making has been growing in popularity over the past couple of years, a fact recognised by Casdon which is entering the pizza play sector.
“Our research and development team is constantly looking into the adult world and identifying trends in the home and kitchen spaces, as it’s important we stay up to speed with what consumers want,” explained Simone Inskip, marketing manager at Casdon. “By looking into what the leading trends are, we can ensure we bring the most relevant and realistic role-play tools into the hands of children.”
The new toys are replicas of the real-life version of portable pizza ovens from Ooni, and feature a real flame-effect light that fuels imagination and makes pretend play come alive. The range is made in a sustainable way, using recycled plastics from PC mouse cases and recycled food containers.
The charmingly realistic Ooni Koda Pizza Oven includes a miniature toy Pizza Oven, Pizza Peel and Pizza Cutter Wheel, all crafted to mirror their life-sized counterparts.
Alongside the Pizza Oven, the Casdon Ooni Pizza Topping Station is a must-have accessory for budding pizza enthusiasts. The set includes a Pizza Peel, Four-slice Square Pizza and a removable topping lid section, to keep the topping options fresh. With a choice of six pizza toppings: mozzarella, pepperoni, basil, pepper, mushrooms and, controversially, pineapple, the set also includes removable sauce pieces, so little ones can mix and match flavours to create their dream pizzas.
