Mattel has unveiled its doll lines for the highly anticipated new film Disney’s The Little Mermaid, due in cinemas from 26th May.

The latest release from Mattel’s Disney dolls range, a new Little Mermaid collection brings the iconic characters and stories from the upcoming movie to life.

Highlights of the collection include a Mermaid Ariel doll which has been created in the likeness of Ariel, played by Halle Bailey; an Ursula doll created in the likeness of Ursula, played by Melissa McCarthy, and a King Triton doll created in the likeness of King Triton played by Javier Bardem.

With the Disney Little Mermaid Transforming Ariel Doll, kids simply push the shell necklace to see Ariel transform from human to mermaid. Her signature blue dress opens to become a beautiful, multi-coloured mermaid tail. The posable fashion doll features long hair for styling.

The Disney The Little Mermaid Ursula Fashion Doll represents the powerful villain from the movie. The posable fashion doll includes Ursula’s signature tentacles with sparkle details and features her lavender updo hair for styling fun.

A selection of Disney The Little Mermaid Ariel Dolls shows a variety of signature looks and features long hair and poseable limbs. Fans can collect them all and create their own adventures above or below the waves. Meanwhile, an Ariel Small Doll is also posable and features a gorgeous ombre mermaid tail.

The Ariel’s Adventures Story Set includes four posable small dolls — Ursula, Prince Eric, King Triton and Ariel — plus friends Flounder and Sebastian. Each character doll wears a signature look, and two accessories complete the pack. Fans can collect all the Disney’s The Little Mermaid dolls and playsets. A Storytime Stackers Ariel’s Grotto Playset and doll is a compact set which opens to reveal the underwater hangout in a charming small scale with multiple play areas, including a pool and elevator lift. Complete with an Ariel small mermaid doll, Flounder and Sebastian figures and other accessories, the playset features a handle for on-the-go play and can connect with other Storytime Stackers playsets to expand the kingdom.

Exclusively available at Amazon, a human-form Vanessa posable fashion doll wears her signature purple gown with removable shoes and necklace; a Sing & Dream Ariel Doll lets fans hear Ariel sing “Part of Your World” and a set of Ariel, King Triton & Ursula Dolls include signature outfits complete with storytelling accessories.

All products are available now, ahead of the movie release in May.
