University Games celebrates launch of Rocky Horror Show Board Game

Published on: 30th January 2024

The new Rocky Horror Show Board Game from University Games celebrates 50 years of the pop culture phenomenon, as players do the Time Warp again.

Available from February, fans of the globally recognised Rocky Horror Show will be able to relive the brilliance of Rocky Horror with University Games‘ new party board game.

Players will first take on iconic characters from the show, such as Brad, Janet, Magenta, Riff Raff or Frank N Furter himself, sing the songs, quote the famous one-liners and lyrics, take on the charades and dance the Time Warp’s famous moves. Designed for players aged 14 years and over, the aim of the game is to be the first player to escape the castle.

Gemma Lewington, Marketing director at University Games, is delighted to have this iconic brand as part of the University Games Family Games category. She says: “The Rocky Horror Show is such a cult classic; it is a true phenomenon which has been watched by over a million people. The brand not only offers a fantastic platform for a fun and energised board game, but also offers a huge built-in fan base that is relevant throughout a wide range of ages. The game, just like the show, is nostalgic, ahead of its time, culturally ground-breaking and completely fearless. A must have for any vibrant family or friends’ games night, the only question is – will you dress up to play?”

The new Rocky Horror Show Board Game was unveiled at London Toy Fair and can also be seen at Spring Fair. The game will be accompanied by University Games and Lagoon’s entire 2024 catalogue of games, puzzles and gifts, perfect for pre-schoolers through to adults and everyone in between.
