The June issue of Toy World is out now, with a Licensing focus

Published on: 1st June 2023

The June issue of Toy World – a flip cover double edition incorporating a special Licensing World section – is now available to read online.

This issue features a massive section devoted to the world of Licensing. This encompasses a host of content covering everything you need to know about what is happening in the kids licensing space – including a preview of the forthcoming Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, news from some of the licensing arena’s hottest properties, plus an exhaustive trawl through the latest character merchandise ranges being launched by licensees over the coming months.

There are round ups from Hasbro and Mattel on their latest licensed offerings, and our Action Figures feature takes the opportunity to talk to experts in the space: Bandai’s Jack Sturman and retailers Matt Booker and Dave Middleton.

In the main issue, you can read our review of the recent Toymaster May show on p.36 – and a review from an American visitor’s perspective in Rick Derr’s column on p.42.

There’s plenty of inspiration for retailers looking to freshen up their offering for the festive season, with this month’s product category features spanning toy consumers from babies to kidults and everyone in-between, with the Art & Craft, Action Figures & Collectibles or Infant Toys categories, plus our Fresh section highlighting a selection of other lines new to the market.

There are also our regular features such as Talking Shop, Circana Insight, Generation Media and Allegedly, plus all the latest from the toy trade and licensing industry in our News sections.

ICTI Ethical Toy Program shares an article on its helpline service; editor Rachael Simpson-Jones interviews MV Sports MD, Phil Ratcliffe; the team at Konami brings readers up to date on the latest from the brand and Marianna Casal reports on The Lego Group’s launch of new IP: Lego Dreamzzz.
