The London Stationery Show to make its in-person return this October

The London Stationery Show is preparing to make its return to the country’s capital this year, as the writing and paper products trade show takes up an autumn slot this October 5th to October 6th.

As well as bringing together all the biggest brands in stationery and gifts this autumn, the team are thrilled at the prospect of uniting suppliers and buyers for the first time in over two years.

“We’re very much looking forward to bringing new and existing customers together to do business face-to-face,” said event director, Alex Butler. “It’s been a challenging time for everyone, but as much as we’ve all adapted to a new digital world, the pandemic really has highlighted the importance of experiencing products in person before buying.

“We know our audience has missed those chance findings – stumbling across an amazing product that you didn’t know you were looking for – that only happen at exhibitions. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the Business Design Centre this autumn.”

Some of stationery’s best loved brands are returning, including Cross, Cre8 Tapes, Kaweco, Leuchtturm, Sheaffer, Silvine, Stabilo, Staedtler, uni-ball, Pentel, Zebra Pen, Pukka Pads, edding, Montegrappa, Exacompta, Royal Talens, Ultratape, Manuscript Pen, ClaireFontaine, Avery, Hahnemühle, and Snopake.

The show will also welcome a line up of new brands, including Bark & Rock, Goldbuch, Makers Cabinet, Pixie Crew, Artcadia, London Block By Block, Accent Manufacturing and Carioca, among others.

The London Stationery Show is taking place from October 5th to 6th at the Business Design Centre. Registration is now open via stationeryshow.co.uk.

The London Stationery show moves as organisers set new date for October this year

The London Stationery Show has been moved to a later slot this year, with organisers confirming a move of the show to October 5th and 6th 2021, taking place at the Business Design Centre.

With the UK’s vaccination programme well underway, and the Government due to announce a roadmap for easing restrictions next week, the show’s organisers have reacted to the expectation that exhibitions are to resume over the summer.

“We understand that it will take some time for retail to recover from the recent lockdown,” said event director, Alex Butler. “We believe that the October dates will allow for a successful show for visitors and exhibitors alike.

“We’re very grateful for the support of the industry and are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Business Design Centre in October when we can finally meet and do business once again.”

In the meantime, the team is working on a new venture launching in the spring. Stationery365 is an online directory showcasing new products and collections, connecting suppliers with stationery and gift buyers all year round. Retailers will be able to browse brands and products all in one place, and message suppliers directly to place orders. More details will be released in the coming weeks.

London Stationery Show will take place on Tuesday 5 October and Wednesday 6 October 2021.

The London Stationery Show confirms new May dates for 2021

The London Stationery Show will be making its return in 2021, taking up a new summer slot across May 18th and 19th at the Business Design Centre.

Exhibitions in the UK have been halted over the course of the pandemic and were originally due to resume in October. The government Department for Culture, Media and Sport has already approved the event industry’s Covid-19 guidance, and was also satisfied with pilot events which took place in September.

It is now expected that events will be allowed to restart from March 2021.

The London Stationery Show is the latest in a calendar of events to have to adapt to the current climate and the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Earlier this week, the organisers of the annual Spring Fair confirmed that its 2021 show would not be going ahead, but instead be held as an all-virtual event ahead of the return of its physical format with Autumn Fair 2021 and Spring Fair 2022.

Last month, the British Toy and Hobby Association made the decision to call off London Toy Fair.

“We are confident that exhibitions will resume in the spring,” said London Stationery Show’s event director, Alex Butler “And to ensure we’re in the best position possible to host a second-to-none event, we have secured a slightly later date than usual for next year’s show.

“From speaking with exhibitors and visitors over the course of this year, we know that everyone is craving the opportunity to meet face-to-face. The industry is in agreement that nothing can replace the organic business which comes from an exhibition.

“The health and safety of everyone involved will continue to be at the core of our planning, and we will be working hard to communicate our plans to ensure everyone feels confident attending the show.

“We are ready to safely open London Stationery Show’s doors and cannot wait to see everyone there.”

London Stationery Show will take place on Tuesday 18 May and Wednesday 19 May 2021. For more information you can contact the team at stationeryshow@oceanmedia.co.uk.
