Publisher World Book eyes toys, games, puzzles and more with JRL Group

The Chicago-based international book publisher, World Book, is looking is making its move into the toys, games, puzzles, and science kits space with the appointment of the brand licensing agency, JRL Group.

Under the partnership, JRL Group will develop a strategic licensing programme that leverages the global recognition of World Book brand’s core values of delivering education in engaging, informative, and inspirational ways.

Recognised as a leader in reference and education publishing for over 100 years, World Book offers up to date and authoritative information on topics from STEM subjects to historical and current events. The publisher delivers its content to customers worldwide through various media, including online, audio, mobile, eBooks, and print.

“The World Book licensing program will use our trusted and recognized brand to introduce exciting new products that are kid-tested and parent-approved. We look forward to working with JRL Group to establish World Book as a premier licensed brand,” said Geoff Broderick, World Book President.

Initial product categories include Toys, Games, Puzzles, Science Kits, Telescopes, Globes, School Supplies, Publishing, Interactive Learning Aids, Educational Audio and Video products, and more.

National Hot Rod Association propels into new categories through latest licensing partnerships

The National Hot Rod Association’s official licensing agency, JRL Group, has secured three new NHRA licensing partnerships that look to propel the growing consumer products and licensing programme into new categories and distribution channels.

The three new NHRA licensees crossing the line this season are JH Design with a new range of apparel and outerwear, Holland Bar Stool for home decor bar stools, tables, and neon wall clocks, and Authentic Street Signs with its stainless steel signs.

“We are very excited about these new licensing partnerships as we continue to leverage the NHRA’s rich heritage as well as its best-in-class reputation to deliver high quality products for loyal NHRA fans,” said Andy Lieb, president of JRL Group.

The NHRA is one of the world’s largest motorsports sanctioning bodies. Since its inception in 1951, the National Hot Rod Association has been the preeminent force in the world of Drag Racing and Hot Rodding. The NHRA fields race teams with over 11,000 horsepower that reach extreme speeds of over 300mph in just under four seconds.

The 24 national NHRA race event schedule is from February to November and airs on Fox Sports and FS1.

Famous kitchen brand Ginsu cooks up licensing deal with Brand Partners Group

JRL Group has secured a licensing partnership with Brand Partners Group to develop a line of kitchen gadgets under the globally recognised, professional cooking name Ginsu brand.

Under the new deal, Brand Partners will design products around the Ginsu Kiso line’s core brand focus of ‘the uncomplicated kitchen,’ with ranges designed to support all home cooks’ efforts in the kitchen, as well as the desire to own easy to use, yet high-value kitchen tools.

“We are very excited about this brand extension. Brand Partners is a well-respected company delivering unique, high-quality, well-designed products,” said Andrew Lieb, president of JRL Group, the exclusive licensing agency for the Ginsu brand.

“This is truly an ideal partnership for the iconic Ginsu brand.”

Ginsu knife sets have been a mainstay in the cutlery industry since its launch in 1978. Ginsu transitioned to a household name when it became one of the very first brands to market directly to consumers. Ginsu remains one of the most well-known cutlery brands on the market today, with multiple lines of knives distributed through numerous online and retail channels.

“This is a great opportunity for us to add kitchen gadgets to our existing product  lines of kitchen knives and kitchen electrics,” said Jeremy Cantor, business unit manager.
