New confectionary range includes the Rip N Dip sherbit, Sunkist Shards, Sunkist Candy Spray and Sunkist Giant Candy Rolla

Rose and R Crawford on board for Sunkist sweets

Rose Marketing and R Crawford have signed a license to produce Sunkist branded confectionery from Nichols plc.

Rose is best known for creating freezing, novelty confectionery and liquid candy and is excited about the future of the growing brand.

“For us Sunkist was a natural choice as we have been able to develop a range which captures the true feel of the brand," said Steven Watt Managing Director of Rose.

"Tropical and citrus flavours, combine with Summer Fruits to create confectionery with a true taste of summer. Our Sunkist Ripped Ice freezable pops have been on sale since April. Not only is it a great product but the fantastic recent weather has meant demand has soared way above our initial expectations.”

The new range of sweets includes the Rip N Dip sherbit dip line and bubble gum pieces called Sunkist Shards.

Later in the year, the confectionery line will welcome Sunkist Candy Spray and Sunkist Giant Candy Rolla.

Nichols plans to expand the Sunkist brand as both a sweets range and a beverage brand, with more new categories planned for the brand in 2014.
