Pokémon fans will be able to enjoy in-store Pokémon Day events and browse the latest licensed products from master toy partner Jazwares, as well as new TCG releases.
The Pokémon Company International has partnered with leading supermarket Asda to bring customers special fun-filled Pokémon Day events at six of its major stores across February and March.
Celebrating Pokémon Day on 27th February, and heralding the launch of an exciting new Pokémon toy range as well as a new Trading Card Game (TCG) release, the Pokémon at Asda events strengthen the growing partnership between the iconic pop culture brand and the retail giant.
The immersive activity includes character visits from Pikachu along with a huge colouring wall bursting with Pokémon for shoppers to colour in. There are also special activity sheets and Pikachu sun visors for customers to take home. A selection of products from across the popular Pokémon toy line and the hugely successful Trading Card Game will be on display for shoppers to browse and purchase.
The Asda stores staging Pokémon Day events are as follows:
- 25th February – Wigan
- 26th February – Sheffield
- 3rd March – West Bridgford
- 4th March – Derby
- 10th March – Pudsey
- 11 March – Trafford Park
Master toy partner Jazwares’ award-winning range includes battle figures, 8” plush and the Clip and Go assortment.
The latest TCG release in January saw the Pokémon TCG: Sword & Shield Series reach its peak with the Crown Zenith expansion, featuring an all-star assembly of Pokémon and Trainers to celebrate the era of Pokémon V. The more than 160 cards include three new Radiant Pokémon, five colossal Pokémon VMAX, eight shining Pokémon VSTAR, and 17 powerful Pokémon V plus 70 cards with special artwork in the Galarian Gallery (available in store whilst stocks last).
The Pokémon TCG: Scarlet & Violet expansion, which adopts an updated take on the Pokémon ex gameplay mechanic, launches worldwide on 31st March.
