Petra’s Planet is heading to China thanks to Dramaforum Oy’s latest deal with Chinese publisher Shanghai Zhiyuang Culture Communication Co. Ltd and 24Reader.

As part of the deal the company will launch eight Petra’s Planet books and digital magazines in China, combining four already published titles with four new books to be published by Shanghai Zhiyuang Culture Communication.

“We are delighted and excited to be introducing Petra to children across China,” said Eevamaria Halttunen, founder of Dramaforum Oy.

“Zhiyuang Culture Communication Co. Ltd’s an established and trusted publisher in China and 24Reader has more than one million magazine subscribers."

The books will be available in Chinese from early 2017, after their official launch in Beijing in January.

Selena Huang, CEO of Shanghai Zhiyuang Culture Communication Co. Ltd, added: “We chose to partner with Dramaforum thanks to the high quality content and educational nature of the Petra’s Planet range.

“While the books are great fun, they also provide an opportunity for children to learn more about the world around them.”

Kaya Lam, senior editor and project manager at 24Reader Ltd, commented: “Thanks to its digital format, Petra’s Planet Magazine, it is highly interactive and mobile. We’re looking forward to bringing it to the Chinese market.”
