Published on: 6th March 2023

Moonbug Entertainment has been named on Fast Company’s annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023, joining OpenAI, Tiffany & Co. and more.

Moonbug Entertainment, a subsidiary of Candle Media, has been named on Fast Company’s prestigious annual list of the World’s Most Innovative Companies for 2023 in the Film and Television category.

This year’s list highlights the businesses at the forefront of their respective industries, paving the way for the innovations of tomorrow. In addition to the World’s 50 Most Innovative Companies, 540 organisations have been recognised across 54 sectors and regions.

“We are honoured to be recognised by Fast Company in this renowned list of leading organizations,” said René Rechtman, CEO of Moonbug Entertainment. “Moonbug’s purpose is to be the most relevant and impactful kids’ media company in the world, and this honour is a testament to the incredible team that supports that mission every day.”

In less than five years, Moonbug has achieved unprecedented growth and has become a trusted brand for families around the world, known for delivering great entertainment for young kids that is rich in learning benefits and healthy values. Its award-winning IPs, including global sensations CoComelon and Blippi, are available on over 150 platforms including YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, Spotify and more.

Moonbug’s content is also available in over 34 languages, including American Sign Language (ASL), ensuring children all around the world have the opportunity to engage with and enjoy it.

Fast Company’s editors and writers sought out the companies making the biggest strides around the globe. They also judged nominations received through their application process. The World’s Most Innovative Companies is Fast Company’s signature franchise and one of its most highly anticipated editorial efforts of the year. It provides a first-hand look at the inspiring and innovative efforts of companies across all sectors of the economy.

“What a strange and thrilling year it has been to honour this year’s Most Innovative Companies,” said Fast Company editor-in-chief Brendan Vaughan. “This year’s list compiles some of the most cutting-edge groundbreakers who are changing our world every single day, from legacy organisations like McDonald’s to upstarts like MrBeast and institutions such as NASA. Everyone on this list does something completely, uniquely different – yet they all have one thing in common: innovation.”

Last week, Moonbug unveiled a fresh new look featuring a corporate style and logo that it says will be recognised by families around the world. Moonbug worked with brand agency DixonBaxi to refresh its corporate identity to convey the same energy and fun as its colourful shows and characters, including hits such as CoComelon and Blippi.
