Miffy celebrates new book launch with short film

Popular publishing brand Miffy has been enjoying the spotlight, following a host of celebrity endorsements to celebrate the launch of a new book range.

Miffy rubbed shoulders with the likes of Beverly Knight, John Sergeant and Imogen Thomas, who each expressed their love for Miffy and the new range of storybooks, with a special Miffy short film.

The short saw each celebrity reading a page from the new version of Miffy at the Zoo, one of the earliest Miffy storybooks.

The film was made at a Miffy themed children’s paty that took place at the Dutch Centre in London last month.

It was then released a week later via social media to coincide with the books going on sale.

The new range of books features updated and refreshed text, written by award wining poet, Tony Mitton and the new collection from Simon and Schuster will also include new sticker and activity formats.

Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi, aid: “We always knew Miffy had a loyal following with fans of all ages but it’s wonderful to see so many household names show support for this classic character and these timeless stories.

“The film has been a hit on social media and it was the perfect way to raise the profile of the new Simon and Schuster books, especially in the lead up to Miffy’s 60th anniversary next year.”
