Industry veteran Rosalind Nowicki to join Fabacus advisory board

Published on: 20th April 2023

Fabacus has confirmed Rosalind ‘Roz’ Nowicki, global brand builder and licensing executive, as board advisor.

Roz has extensive experience driving significant brand and business growth in the consumer products space, most recently as head of global consumer products and franchise marketing for Mattel, reporting to Mattel’s president and CEO. She revitalised the company’s multi-category consumer products and franchise marketing division and delivered its first year of growth in nearly a decade. Previously, Roz was executive vice president of Peanuts Worldwide.

“I am thrilled to join Fabacus’ board of advisors, using my 30 plus years of licensing experience to provide guidance and serve as an industry evangelist for the revolutionary platform that provides essential data to IP owners.” Roz commented. “In the new age of incoming sustainability regulation, the extended service that Fabacus has created and offers has evolved from a ‘nice-to-have’ to an essential requirement for brand owners.”

Fabacus is a data management and bureau service for the licensing industry and developer of proprietary data management software platform, Xelacore. Its blue-chip clients include Epic Games, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Skydance Animation, Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard. Fabacus also has strategic partnerships with IMG Licensing, agents of Pepsi, Fiat Chrysler and Volkswagen; and Fanatics, agents of PSG, UEFA and NBA.

Speaking on Roz’s addition to the board, Fabacus founder and CEO, Andrew Xeni, said: “Given Roz’s wealth of experience and understanding of the industry challenges, it is great validation having her advocate the need for an industry evolution in data capture, its use and licensed product identification and authentication. Part of the advisory board role is the ability to translate advice to action and Roz has an innate ability to do just that, supporting companies to scale their business and accelerate growth. Roz’s commitment to Fabacus further endorses our value proposition to the industry and after years of working in parallel, I’m excited for her to formally join Fabacus as board advisor.”

Roz is also on the board of Hatch Collective (formerly Hatch Beauty Brands), a PE owned beauty and wellness incubator and key partner and supplier to leading retailers. She also serves as a member of the Board of Licensing International, leading the fundraising committee as chair and is an active member of the IDEA committee. Roz is a frequent invited speaker and panellist at industry events, trade shows and college campuses.
