First look at Thunderbirds are Go’s Tracy Island

An exclusive image of Tracy Island from the upcoming Thunderbirds are Go television show has been released.

The picture was unveiled as a Thunderbirds panel discussed the heritage of the series at this year’s San Diego Comic Convention.

Celebrating the show’s 50th anniversary next year, Thunderbirds are Go will feature a mix of CGI animation and live-action model sets, in order to pay tribute to the classic 1960s original.

“It’s great to have the chance to give fans a sneak peak at the home of Thunderbirds,” said Thunderbirds are Go executive producer, Giles Ridge.

“Tracy Island was a much loved feature of the original show, so it felt right that we showcase our new-look location with the show’s followers.”

Thunderbirds are Go will debut on ITV and CITV in 2015 and has already been sold to Australia’s Nine Network.
