Farshore, the home of Minecraft and Roblox publishing, is delighted to have acquired the official publishing rights for Adopt Me. Emma Cairns-Smith, Global Licensing Acquisition director for Brands and Licensing at Farshore, has signed a worldwide rights deal with Richard Haines, head of Consumer Products at Uplift Games, securing HarperCollins the right to create and publish Adopt Me books across a variety of formats globally.

Adopt Me has seen a record-breaking 1.92m peak concurrent users and boasts more than 33b lifetime plays. Players can adopt and raise pets, build homes and make friends in Adopt Me’s magical world. With over 33b visits, it is one of the most popular and successful games of all times on Roblox.

Farshore will be launching in July 2023, with two titles; Adopt Me! Perfect Pets Journal and Adopt Me! Dress Your Pets Sticker Activity Book. Both offerings are the perfect companion titles for fans to take their magical world to the next level. With stickers, activities and spaces to be creative and record in-game experiences, the books will be closely tied to gameplay and offer  fun and inspiration to help fans master Adopt Me. The launch range will be followed by an Annual in September, and more publishing in 2024 and beyond, including game guides and fiction.

Emma Cairns-Smith representing Brands and Licensing at Farshore said: “Over the past five years, the growth of Adopt Me has been astounding. We are excited not only to bring game guides and sticker books to fans, but also to work with Uplift to develop original fiction and graphic novels. We cannot wait to bring the books to market”.

Richard Haines from Uplift Games added: “We are delighted to be working with Farshore on our official publishing. The first titles look fantastic, and I am sure they will be a real treat for our fans. I can’t wait to see them launch later this year”.
