Disney’s Marvel Super Hero Spectacular returns with new retail promotions

Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) is gearing up for its third annual Marvel Super Hero Spectacular campaign.

Kicking off on August 15th, the campaign will boast retail promotions, activations and product launches across six weeks, as well as a large-scale merchandising program celebrating Captain America’s 75th anniversary.

New products will also be available as part of the campaign, including Marvel Legends actions figures and role-play toys from Hasbro, LEGO construction sets, Jakks Tsum Tsum collectables, Hot Wheels cars from Mattel, Funko collectables and Fox Motocross apparel.

“Marvel Super Hero Spectacular allows fans to truly immerse themselves in the Marvel Universe and we work closely each year with our licensees and retail partners to create an extensive and impressive program that will satisfy their every Marvel need,” said Paul Gitter, senior VP of licensing for Marvel at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.

“As the campaign continues to build momentum each year, Marvel Super Hero Spectacular shows a true inter-generational appeal for the Marvel brand and our fans’ loyalty.”

Retailers including Walmart, Target, Toys R Us, Amazon, Kohl’s, Party City and Kmart are all on board to take part in the campaign.
