CPLG appoints new retail director

CPLG has welcomed a new retail director to the UK team in Gemma Witts.

Witts joins the firm with an ‘outstanding pedigree and hugely valuable experience of retail management within the licensing business.’

Her career began in sales at CMS Peripherals, a consumer electronics organisation.

She then moved to Disney Consumer Products in 2008 and in her role as commercial manager for retail and direct to consumer, Witts managed the Argos account across all product categories, delivering an unprecedented campaign at Argos for the launch of Toy Story 3.

Most recently she has completed a Business Consultancy for Inventing Futures CIC, a social enterprise organisation supporting national youth development and employment.

In her new role, Witts will be championing numerous brands at retail, including Despicable Me, In The Night Garden, Sesame Street, WWE, Skylanders, Star Trek and Care Bears.

"We are very excited to welcome Gemma to our UK team," said managing director, Vickie O’ Malley.

"Her fresh perspective and success rate combined with new ideas comes at an exciting time for CPLG."
