The animated series teaching children to care will debut in the territories this year.

Cloudbabies expands global reach with Middle East, Portuguese and Korean deals

Hoho Rights has signed a raft of new overseas deals for its growing pre-school property, Cloudbabies.

The animated series is now expanding its global reach to RTP in Portugal, JCC in the Middle East and Kenny and Co in Korea, where it will make its respective debut this year.

The CBeebies show – already broadcasting in a number of territories including Australia, New Zealand Israel, Wales and Thailand – is also due to launch in Germany and Ireland.

The animation is seeing success in Poland where it airs on the MiniMini channel, while a Covermount DVD deal has been agreed with MSZ Poland for a popular children’s magazine.

Danielle Davies, Hoho Entertainment’s head of sales and acquisitions, said: "Cloudbabies expansion into the global market continues to gather pace and we’re delighted to announce these three prestigious deals and a cover mount promotion which will see more and more children engaging with the show around the world."

Created by BAFTA and Emmy award winner Bridget Appleby, Cloudbabies made its debut on CBeebies in the UK in 2012.

Aimed at pre-schoolers, the series helps teach children about caring for others and the world around them with characters including Sun, Moon, Rainbow, Fuffa Cloud and Little Star.
