Archie Comics has appointed Merchantwise Licensing to manage the Archie Comics brand licensing and merchandise across Australia and New Zaland.
First published in 1942, Archie Comics has become one of the most successful comic brands in history, featuring iconic characters such as Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Sabrina of Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Josie.
It is also home to the Dark Cirlce super-heroes, Jinx and more, many of which have been brought to life on the small and big screens with a number of franchise spin offs over the years.
Meanwhile, the comic today sells into its billions.
Thanks to the global hit teen drama CW television series Riverdale, Archie Comics is enjoying a run of high popularity. A third season of Riverdale is slated to premiere in October this year, while Netflix is readying to air The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina this October.
“It’s exciting to see timeless favourites reinvented for modern audiences. In its almost 80 year history, Archie Comics has sold billions of comics and branded merchandise.
