Fox Consumer Products chief to leave post in Disney merger wake

Twentieth Century Fox Film’s president of consumer products and innovation, Jim Fielding is exiting the firm in the wake of Disney’s $71.3 billion acquisition of most of Fox.

Fielding is a consumer products veteran, and one of the high-ranking Fox managers to b leaving the company now that Disney has completed its takeover of the majority of its assets.

Fielding joined the company in 2017 from DreamWorks Animation, taking the title of president of consumer products and innovation for Fox Television Group and Twentieth Century Fox Film.

He oversaw licensing, product development and new business opportunities in the consumer retail space across both businesses and FX Networks. He actually had a stint at Disney when he was president of Disney Stores Worldwide, as well as the DisneyStore.com e-commerce business.

Fielding is among what is predicted to be thousands of exits as Disney now begins to absorb Fox’s studio and networks business.
