RHS extends its sweet deal with The Gourmet Candy Company

The Royal Horticultural Society has detailed the expansion of its Gourmet Candy Company’s RHS confectionery range.

It follows the success of the delectable line first launched in 2017 and extended in early 2018. Its 2019 range will include five new lines.

Along with the existing selection of chocolate gift boxes, fudges and honeycomb bars, the RHS Confectionery range now features Treacle Toffee, Salted Caramel Toffee, Milk Chocolate Bunnies, Milk Chocolate Hedgehogs and Milk Chocolate Butterflies.

All of this will be presented in RHS design gift boxes and packaging with designs inspired by the RHS Lindley Library, the world’s finest collection of botanical art.

The new lines will be available at retail from March 2019 onwards.

Outlets stocking the range will include Wyevale Garden Centres, along with department stores, independent garden centres and farm shops, as well as the RHS shops, based around the UK at the four RHS gardens (Wisley, Harlow Carr, Hyde Hall and Rosemoor).

Distribution is also planned for a number of international market including USA, Australia and Sweden.

The Gourmet Candy Company will once again be showcasing its RHS range of licensed confectionery to the world at ISM, the world’s largest trade fair for sweets and snacks, at stand L20, Hall 4.2 in the British zone.

ISM takes place from 27-30 January in Cologne, Germany.

The Gourmet Candy Company is based in London, from where it supplies British-made fudges, toffees and honeycombs or exquisite private-label chocolates and sweets through retailers and distributors in over 20 countries worldwide.

Jaime Waring, sales director, The Gourmet Candy Company, said: “Our RHS licensed products continue to flourish in the UK and abroad and once again we will be at ISM to showcase our range, this year with a bigger and better stand.

"A real ‘Independent Retailer’ favourite brand, the RHS’ images held in the RHS Lindley Library have inspired us to create a unique and innovative range of confectionery products for the markets.”

Cathy Snow, RHS licensing manager, added: “Our partnership with The Gourmet Candy Company has inspired some delightful confectionery ranges and these are no exception.

"As gifts or treats, they are both elegantly designed and packaged and wonderfully tasty.”
