Mattel has secured a swathe of new content deals for its popular, rebooted preschool series, Thomas & Friends: Big World, Big Adventures.
The new deals include partnerships with the broadcasters ABC TV in Australia, Televisa in Mexico, TV Cultura in Brazil and Super RTL in Germany.
Thomas and Friends recently debuted on the Nick Jr channel in the US as part of a new US television and consumer products partnership between Nickelodeon and Mattel.
Thomas & Friends: Big World, Big Adventures had its first screening at the recent 2017 MIP Junior World Premiere TV Screening to critical acclaim. The revamped show sees the blue engine Thomas travelling farther than before, taking kids on a journey as he adventures around the world.
Australia and New Zealand are set for a national theatrical launch of Thomas & Friends: Big World, Big Adventures The Movie ahead of the TV premiere on ABC.

Thomas the Tank was created over 70 years ago and is today watched in over 160 territories, in over 50 languages with over 1.6 billion lifetime views on YouTube.
