The Dark Crystal to get a comic book sequel

Fans of the 1982 Universal Pictures cult-classic The Dark Crystal will finally be able to re-visit the film’s bizarre and wonderful world in a new comic book sequel series from BOOM! Studios.

The comic book will follow on from Jim Henson’s fantasy adventure, based on an abandoned screenplay by David Odell, Annette Odell and Craig Pearce.

The 12-part series will be written by Simon Spurrier (The Spire, Six-Gun Gorilla) with art by Kelly and Nichole Matthews (Toil and Trouble).
