Tinderbox to extend Rare’s video games portfolio into toys, apparel and publishing

Tinderbox, the digital division of global brand extension agency Beanstalk, has been appointed by Rare as the global licensing agent for its new game, Sea of Thieves, and for its backcatalogue of popular titles.

Rare’s most iconic games include Battletoads, Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark and Viva Piñata, and Tinderbox is working with the studio to extend these franchises into categories spanning apparel, toys, collectables, publishing and gift products.

Sea of Thieves, the new game from Rare, will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10 and sees players enter into an epic multiplayer pirate adventure. Tinderbox plans to support the release with products across apparel, toys, collectables, publishing and novelty.
