VEGAS 2016: Rainbow heads to Licensing Expo with World of Winx and Regal Academy

Regal Academy and World of Winx are looking to make a splash in Las Vegas as European studio Rainbow heads to this year’s Licensing Expo.

The firm will be showcasing three new concepts at the upcoming event as it looks to secure new international partners in numerous categories.

Regal Academy is a new animated comedy that combines school life with fairy tales as it focuses on the children of famous fairy tale characters including Rose Cinderella and Hawk SnowWhite.

Also on hand at this year’s Expo will be the studio’s latest fashion focused property, Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends, the firm’s first live-action production.

The story follows Maggie, a young American girl who wins a two-year scholarship to the Milan Fashion Academy and Bianca, a self-proclaimed Italian princess.

According to Rainbow, the property has already picked up international interest with partners on board including Simba heading up the master toy line.

Meanwhile, Giochi Preziosi has recently secured the pan European master toy rights for Regal Academy.

Completing the firm’s line-up at this year’s Expo, World of Winx is the latest spin-off of the popular Winx Club property. The show sees the Winx fairies visit Earth as scouts for a talent show while attempting to thwart the plans of the villainous Talent Thief.

Rainbow will be showcasing at stand U242.
