Sunrights signs m4e to represent Beyblade Burst

The Beyblade franchise is set to re-launch later this year in the US and Canada as Beyblade Burst, and m4e AG has been appointed to represent the property in the G/A/S region.

The media company has been appointed for broadcast, home entertainment and merchandising rights by Sunrights Inc in German-speaking territories.

Peter Kleinschmidt, senior VP of group marketing and brand management at m4e, said: “We are very proud of our trustful and long-lasting partnership with d-rights and Sunrights.

“We know the brand and all involved partners very well and can’t wait to breathe new life into this cult franchise.”

m4e is now on the look out for a German broadcasting partner for the series to help develop a broad licensing program, while a toy line by master toy partner Hasbro will follow later in the year.

Plus, the toy range will also boast a digital component for a fully immersive gaming experience.

Daizo Suzuki, president of Sunrights, added: “I am very excited about this partnership and to watch Beyblade Burst grow globally in the Western markets.”
