Disney’s Zootopia passes the $1bn milestone worldwide

Disney’s animated feature film Zootopia has passed the $1bn milestone at the global box office.

Having taken a further $4.4 million worldwide this past weekend, the feature that follows the adventures of a young police cadet rabbit, Judy Hopps, has become the studio’s second $1bn grossing film this year.

At the international box office, the movie has secured $662.8 million, with a domestic take of $337.22 million.

Zootopia is now the 11th Disney film to hit the $1bn milestone and only the fourth to cross the marker, joining the likes of Frozen, Minions and Toy Story 3.
