London’s Nickelodeon Store prepares first anniversary celebrations

London’s Nickelodeon Store is readying to celebrate its first anniversary this month with a day of birthday-themed activities for fans and customers.

Balloon artists, colouring competitions and special appearances from the likes of SpongeBob SquarePants will all take place in-store on Saturday, May 28th to celebrate the success of the shop over the last 12 months.

Located at One Leicester Square, the Nickelodeon Store has welcomed an estimated 650,000 visitors over the last year and has introduced over 2,500 new items since it opened in 2015.

The store has also sold over 170,000 items with the SpongeBob London Guard, an exclusive to the Nickelodeon Store Leicester Square, while over 20,000 colouring sheets have been coloured in by Nickelodeon Store customers over the past year.

“We are thrilled to reach another milestone event with our London Flagship Store,” said Tina Calvo, CEO of entertainment retail enterprises.

“The store offers a unique and interactive environment for our customers with a full assortment of exclusive product. We are proud of the efforts of our London Store team and look forward to continued growth as we move forward into additional international markets with Nickelodeon.”

The Nickelodeon Store features over 4,000 square feet of Nickelodeon merchandise and memorabilia, including icnonic brands SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Paw Patrol and Rugrats.

The London store is one of eight Nickelodeon Stores located around the world, with sites also located in Chile, Panama, Columbia, Costa Rica and Honduras.

A ninth store is set to open in summer this year in the Dubai Mall.
