UK’s Lakeside shopping centre to welcome Nickelodeon entertainment zone in 2018

Popular UK shopping destination Lakeside is preparing to open a brand new Nickelodeon family entertainment centre.

The new 50,000 square feet destination is expected to open in 2018, offering families a large variety of adventure zones, dedicated space for youngsters and Nickelodeon themed rooms for birthday parties and get togethers.

The new space, featuring some of Nickelodeon’s hit properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants, Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol and more is the result of a partnership between Parques Reunidos, Viacom International Media Networks and Intu.

The area will also have a dedicated food and beverage area as well as a Nickelodeon retail space.

“We are very pleased to continue applying our knowledge n the development and management of leisure parks to create these new family experiences in shopping centres and particularly of doing so in collaboration with Nickelodeon and Intu,” said Fernando Eiro, CEO of Parques Reunidos.

“Shopping centres have evolved into spaces where families spend time together and Parques Reunidos shares Intu’s vision of transforming the experiences lived in these centres to make them into wonderful memories.”
