Hot Topic launches exclusive Star Wars: The Force Awakens fashion line

Fashion company and lifestyle brand Her Universe has teamed with specialty retailer Hot Topic and Disney to launch a new Star Wars collection.

Featuring dresses, cardigans, jackets and leggings, the line is inspired by the latest instalment in the sci-fi opera, Star Wars: The Force Awakens and its characters Rey, Keylo Ren and more.

The line will be available at select Hot Topic stores and online at HotTopic.com featuring designs by the winners of last year’s Her Universe Geek Couture Fashion Show held at Comic-Con International in San Diego.

As part of their grand prize, designers Leetal Platt and Kelly Cercone were rewarded with the chance to work on the exclusive collection.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens captivated the world and fangirls immediately started asking us for The Force Awakens fashions,” said Her Universe founder Ashley Eckstein.

“We are thrilled to be able to launch our new collection designed by Leetal and Kelly featuring designs inspired by everyone’s new favourite characters Rey, Finn, BB-8, Kylo Ren and more.”

The line features nine pieces inspired by characters from the latest big screen blockbuster and retail for between $30 and $70 online and in select Hot Topic stores.
