Start Licensing is taking over the UK market of Rachael Hale from Richard Horton who has successfully managed it for a number of years but is now retiring.

Dissero Brands appoints Start Licensing to represent Rachael Hale

Start Licensing has been appointed by Dissero Brands to represent the Rachael Hale brand.

Launched in 1995, Rachael Hale photography features ‘the world’s most lovable animals’ and the brand comprises 2,500 distinctive and original photographs featuring dogs, cats, farm animals and exotics.

It has a base of 130 licensees from over 50 countries, a performance which in the last few years has secured it a place as a top 150 global licensor.

Start Licensing is taking over the UK market of Rachael Hale from Richard Horton who has successfully managed it for a number of years but is now retiring.

Horton leaves the brand in a strong position with licensees that include WPL for greeting cards, Danilo for calendars, Igloo Books for publishing , Noveltex for bedding, Funky Pigeon for personalised products and Pyramid for posters.

"I’ve always admired Rachael Hale and it’s a great opportunity for Start Licensing to take over the management of such an iconic brand," said Ian Downes from Start Licensing.

"There’s been a good track record of success in the UK and we’re looking forward to developing things further. Market conditions are challenging in the UK at the moment but we feel this is the time where good quality licensed properties will come to the fore.
