PopCap Games has secured a swathe of new deals across the region, license renewals and a new Plants vs. Zombies promotion.

Plants vs. Zombies eyes further growth across Latin America

Game creator PopCap Games in partnership with ConAgra Foods, has released a promotion with the game Plants vs. Zombies and the Act II and Del Monte brands in Mexico.

The promotion, which runs through October and November, features characters from the game Plants vs. Zombies on Act II Microwave Popcorn and Del Monte Ketchup.

ConArga has also released exclusive Plant and Zombie-flavoured popcorn, as part of the deal.

The Plants vs. Zombies brand has continued to see growth throughout Latin America, with new licensees such as Editorial Nueva Idea (activity books in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, and Bolivia), Grupo Waisgold (vitamin gummies in Mexico), and Prexio (stationary and novelties in Peru).

Partners such as MIC (apparel in Columbia and Venezuela), and Impulsorra Arra (footwear in Mexico), have also renewed licenses with the brand.

Various retail promotional opportnites have also been organised by the brand’s agent Tycoon, who helped the brand win PROMARCA’s Brand of the Year award in 2014.
