Call The Midwife The Christmas Album readies for November release

With a Christmas special and a third television series in the pipeline, any further announcements for BBC One TV series, Call the Midwife would just be spoiling its fans.

Cue, Call the Midwife The Christmas Album, set for release on November 25th.

Comprising of 30 tracks, including music from the 2012 and forthcoming 2013 Christmas specials, the album will feature a bonus cast recording of the Nat King Cole classic, When I Fall in Love, performed by Laura Main (Sister Bernadette) and Stephen McGann (Dr Turner).

The Christmas album will include popular festive songs such as Bing Crosby’s White Christmas, Judy Garland’s Have Yourself A Merry Christmas, Elvis Presley’s Santa, Bring My Baby Back (To Me) and Perry Como’s Frosty The Snowman.

Furthermore, the new album will feature specially designed pop-up gift pack packaging, aimed at targeting the Christmas shoppers this festive season.

Neal Street Productions’ Call the Midwife was the biggest new drama series on BBC One in over a decade, while the second series averaged a consolidated series average of over ten million viewers.
