Disney’s Planes had a successful takeoff at the UK box office, making it to the No.2 spot reports Screen.
The spin-off to Cars was made by DisneyToon Studios, as opposed to Pixar, and achieved £1.7m from 507 sites.

Disney’s The Lone Ranger didn’t pick up dramatically after a slow opening in the UK, taking in another £753,210.
