Oxford inks first Malaysian deal

Oxford Limited has secured its first deal in Malaysia.

The firm’s agent in China and South East Asia – Interasia & Associates – signed the five-year deal with Leapro. It covers the back to school category, plus men’s luggage, bags and small leather goods.

Leapro Sdn Bhd is the subsidiary of ‘Leather Protector’, a well-known company in the Malaysian market. It specialises in small leather goods such as belts, wallets, sling bags, backpacks and more.

It is targeting a launch of autumn 2013 for the new line.

"Both the back to school and bag categories continue to be key areas of growth for the Oxford brand," said Chris Evans, MD of Oxford Limited. "Leapro has a great track record and we look forward to them developing an Oxford range for the Malaysian market."
