Gibsons has partnered with DRi Licensing to launch a series of adult and children’s jigsaw puzzles based on the popular Roald Dahl books.
The puzzles will feature some of the author’s most renowned characters and titles including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG.
The puzzles will launch in 2014 to coincide with the 50th anniversary celebrations of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi, said: "We’re delighted that Gibsons have joined the Roald Dahl licensing programme at this very exciting time – puzzles, game play and family were at the heart of Roald Dahl’s life, so this is the perfect addition to our rapidly expanding Roald Dahl programme."
Roald Dahl has recently been voted as the best children’s author all time in a survey of parents and children conducted for International Children’s Book Day.
The survey saw the author of such titles as The Twits and James and the Giant Peach, beat JK Rowling and Beatrix Potter.
Kate Armitage, marketing director at Gibsons, said: "The fantastic works of Roald Dahl have delighted generations of children and his appeal is timeless.
"Our brand stands for British, nostalgic, high quality products and this license will fit perfectly with our core values."
Other British licenses from Gibsons include Downton Abbey, Cadbury, Hornby and the RHS.
