Pukeko Pictures’ animated and live action pre-school series The WotWots is gearing up for this year’s Licensing Expo in Las Vegas.
The show follows the adventures of two siblings from outer space, SpottyWot and DottyWot (pictured).
The property will be represented for worldwide merchandise licensing by American Greetings Properties at booth N151.
Local agents on board include EXIM Licensing Group Inc in Latin America, Stella Projects in Australia and New Zealand, Max Licensing in Turkey, Lizenwerft in Germany and Segal Licensing in Canada.
The first season of the series, consisting of 52 10-minute episodes, is currently seen in over 90 countries including Australia and New Zealand, the US Canada, UK, China and much of the Asia Pacific region.
Season two (26 11-minute episodes) is seen on The Hub, US; Treehouse, Canada; Channel 5 Milkshake, UK; HBO Family, Latin America, ABC4Kids, Australia and TVNZ, New Zealand and is a consistent top five performer in the pre-school programming category in these markets.
In the home entertainment space, The WotWots are available on DVD in many territories around the world. Episodes are available for digital download in Australia, the UK and Canada, with the US launch forthcoming. An app is also available.
The WotWots has also partnered with Ice Water Press, with with books available in the Australian and New Zealand markets.
American Greetings is now looking to extend the brand’s publishing presence in Europe, North and Latin America and Asia.
ABC Commercial is Pukeko Pictures’ global partner for live events, with local agents Showtime in Australia, Sphere Entertainment in Canada, Rainbow in the UK and Milestone in the US.
The WotWots is also "proving prolific" in China, where Pukeko Pictures and Grand Entertainment have co-produced entertainment content especially for this market.
